A healthier river for people and wildlife...

We are the only environmental charity dedicated to the River Welland and its tributaries.

Our goal is to reconnect people with the natural and cultural heritage of their rivers and streams, ensuring that they are better valued, protected and have a positive effect on local communities.

Our projects are also delivering vital work to improve the resilience of our water environment in the face of the climate and biodiversity crises.

Rising in Northamptonshire and flowing 105km eastwards towards The Wash, the Welland and its tributaries carve a picturesque rolling landscape with historic towns, rural vistas and wildlife hotspots.

Find out more about the steering group working together to pool resources and tackle the bigger issues across the Welland catchment.

From habitat restoration and water quality monitoring to promoting health and wellbeing in the community, our projects and those of the partnership span a broad range of issues.
